Story of the Baba
The Neapolitan babà recipe comes from the intertwining of different cultures.
A recipe that connects Naples to France and Poland. The Polish King Stanislaus Leszczyński , in exile in the French region, added a rum syrup to kugelhopf, a typical dessert which he considered too dry, creating a new combination of flavors that we all know as the current Neapolitan Baba.
